Description Brand: Fender Exact Year: 1957
1957 dual rectifier low power Fender tweed twin... this amp smokes. hands down, one of the best and most seminal amplifiers on the planet. this one is in great shape. There's a reason this is Eric Clapton's favorite amplifier. Turned down low, there is no amp that comes close to the beautiful buttery sounds that come from this amp, and when cranked - forget about it. Oversaturated screaming singing rock and roll heaven. Amp is all original aside from the filter caps and three prong power cord. The speakers are from '55, one is re-coned, one has the original cone. they sound extremely sweet. wasn't uncommon for fender to use older stuff they had in the shop on amps they were building, and these look right to the amp, but they may have been switched at some point. in either case, they are period correct blue bells and they sound phenomenal. All transformers are of course original. I cannot say enough good things about this amplifier. It is hands down, my ultimate favorite amp that I never intended to sell. but I bought an expensive guitar, and now I need the cash... song as old as time, eh? email with any questions. If you're local in the encino, CA area, you can come hear it. Dave
