Up for auction is a Universal Audio 1176LN in excellent condition and ready to use ...Upon its release in 1967, the 1176 Limiting Amplifier became an instant classic because of its unique lightning-fast attack and release times, musical Class A output stage, and its wide range of sounds, ranging from subtle, near-transparent compression, to all-out drive and distortion.Universal Audio’s 1176LN Classic Limiting Amplifier is a handbuilt, faithful reproduction of Bill Putnam Sr.’s original visionary design — an iconic piece of audio history that had a hand behind classic recordings from Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, and more. I figure no use going into detail about this unit. If you are looking at it you know what it can do, and there is all the information you need if you search the web. What I can tell you is that it came out of a smoke-free pro studio, and never taken out of the rack until the owner decided to retire. If you look at the picture of the rear of the unit you will see the date of when it was manufactured (10-03). The UA 1176LN has been tested and is in excellent working condition. We have put a very low reserve price and the unit will be sold to the highest bidder. After years of running a Christian oriented recording studio, the owner has decided to retire from the business and close it’s doors. Everything was well cared for and many of the items look brand-new. Here is your chance to upgrade and/or add to your studio whether you’re a commercial or home studio. What do you get? • Universal Audio 1176LN • Power Cable Note: there are NO interface cables with this unit, all other cables that you will need will have to be purchase separate.
