You are bidding on a 1967 Selmer Mark VI Tenor sax serial number M147486. It has the original lacquer finish. The finish is worn and discolored. I bought the sax from the original owner’s family in September 2016. The sax had not been played for several years and needed a complete overhaul.
I had the horn repadded with kangaroo pads, recorked, and fully checked out in September 2016. It plays effortlessly with a classic Mark VI tone.
Note that the palm keys have rubberized lifters. The darker lifters were put on by the original owner. I put on the white lifter. If you do not want lifters, they can be removed with a razor knife.
The case does not appear to be original but shows its age. Let’s say that it has character. Both latches on the case are in working order.
