Here we have an updated and improved version of the 1960s Rose Morris-exclusive 4003. Known at the time as the 4001S, both Paul McCartney and Chris Squire received and cherished their versions, becoming their bass of choice. This might well have been due to the curved edges that some argue make it more comfortable than the traditional 4003 model. This was also made available briefly in the 70s and the 90s - we hope it's here to stay this time. With dot inlays and no binding giving a stripped-down look, but with the added advantage of Rickenbacker's double truss rod, this is a reissue brought right up to date. Another new feature is the addition of the push/pull tone pot to toggle between vintage and modern tones. This is a bass which will rapidly become the 'go-to' workhorse for the discerning player. · Body Type: Solid · No. Frets: 20 · Scale Length: 84.5 cm (33 1/4'') · Neck Width at Nut: 42.9 mm (1 11/16'') · Neck Width at 12th Fret: 54.0 mm (2 1/8'') · Crown Radius: 25.4 cm (10') · Body Wood: Walnut · Neck Wood: Maple · Fingerboard: Wood Maple · Weight: 4.1 kg (9.0 lbs.) · Overall Length: 113.8 cm (44 13/16'') · Overall Width: 34.3 cm (13 1/2'') · Overall Depth: 31.8 mm (1 1/4'') · Neck Binding: Yes · Fret Marker Style: Dot · Tailpiece: RIC · Bridge: RIC · Neck Type: Through body · No. of Pickups: 2 · Type of Pickups: Single Coil · Output Type: Mono · Machine Heads: Schaller Deluxe
