1968 AMPEG AEB-1 Bass an all original bad boy getting rarer every year !
Beat but sweet factory Sunburst finish all over, the AEB-1 (fretted) and the AUB-1 (fretless) were the first horizontal electric basses of Ampeg’s own design, and they are the most commonly recognized of all the Ampeg Basses, they feature a scroll headstock, similar to Ampeg’s Baby Bass, and a rounded body with two large F-holes that go all the way through the body, its fat neck & scroll headstock are stunning, its built-in pickup system is like an upright bass installed under its intricate bridge design, it bears serial production # 689, these are the coolest & most inventive basses to exist & is in very good 100% original condition, a very significant Bass for any serious collector, it comes with a nice padded gig bag.
