These new Kay K5970 Jazz Special reissues live up to the reputation of the genuine article. Few instruments are as easy to dial in as a Kay bass guitar. Just plug one in and you're pretty much good to go. The hollow body, 31" scale, flatwound strings and single blade pickup take care of the rest. The necks are pretty substantial in size but with the narrow 1.5" nut width and 1-13/16" E-G string spacing at the bridge you have a neck that is very easy to get around on. They've also got more than their fair share of vintage flavor with the totally way-out-there pickguard and large Kelvinator headstock badge. There's lots of magic in these basses, perhaps it's what you've been looking for all along. Hard case included.Hover thumbnails to see larger images.
