Up for auction is a near mint Peavey HP Special Carved Top Custom Shop guitar in stunning translucent purple. I visited the Peavey factory in Meridian Mississippi and hand selected the woods for this guitar. The HP Special line was the next evolution of the Peavey Wolfgang. In my humble opinion, I think these guitars blow away the Wolfgang's in terms of playability, aesthetics, and flexibility (both pickups can be coil tapped). The guitar has only been played a handful of times since I purchased it. I am grading it as near mint because the gold hardware is beginning to tarnish a bit. That is unavoidable for a 10 year old guitar. In addition, there is one tiny indent on the back of the neck near the heal. It is on a part of the neck that never comes in contact with your hand. It is so small you would probably never notice it. But I like to be thorough in my assessment of an instrument. These guitars are no longer being made and are becoming extremely collectable. The color is extremely unique for this guitar and it has an ebony fret board. It has never been taken out of my house and it has always been kept in a humidity controlled room. It comes with the original case and case candy. This is a great opportunity to purchase a premium one of a kind instrument at a reasonable price.
