Here's an interesting one for all of those Gibson Custom fans out there! Years ago when Gibson moved their custom shop to Memphis, they had a direct-to-consumer sale of a small number of guitars in the factory: they stamped this series "roadworn" on the back of the headstock. This sale was only offered in person, so it's a true case of "you just had to be there!" This ES-335 is a beautiful iteration of an early 1963 model that would be later used as a blueprint for the current reissues we all know and love today. The guitar is in great condition, and plays exceptionally smooth. Added VOS treatment to the hardware adds to the piece's overall vibe. The frets are in fantastic condition and have virtually no wear on them. The original hard shell case is included.
