Up for sale is a vintage Ludwig & Ludwig 28" x 14" Bass Drum, in "White Marine Pearl" finish. Made in USA, 40s era, virgin shell, great overall condition, clean chrome, tight wrap, some normal fading in the wrap (the level of fading is consistent over the entire shell), hoops appear to be non-matching (given the differing inlay width), shows some cosmetic, hoop inlay on both hoops has some lifting in a few spots (still intact, purely cosmetic), shell interior shows some normal wear, some splitting in a couple areas (refer to pics), prior to my acquisition of this drum, one of its owners seems to have made a few marks with a blue marker on the shell interior (refer to pics), solid structural condition, shell is in-round, one of the finest examples of its era that ive come across; well-maintained, well-taken care-of, very to find a drum this age in this kind of condition.
