The difference to the KM54 is that the KM254c is shielded against high-frequency from electronic devices. The "c" says that it is furthermore improved for even better noise-figures.
The KM254c is a pristine and phantastic sounding mic that can be used for many sources.
It is famous for it's outstanding nickel capsule and AC701k microphone tube.The mic offered here has been recently tested. It sounds as it should: Beautiful warm while clear with super low noise floor and great dynamical response. It comes with a new Schaal-Audio power-supply that is top-notch and equipped with several protections and a slow-ramp start to protect the tube. Ground lift can be selected. It is also possible to set the Schaal psu to 230 Volts. It is set to 115Volts. Works in a wide range of 100 V to 240 Volts. Works in Japan as well as in the USA.The cable is new also comes from Schaal-Audio and is made with high-quality Sommer Cable material and new metal connectors that can be screwed to both mic and psu.
