Description
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION... Offered for your consideration is a 1963 FENDER STRATOCASTER. SERIAL NO. L08971. All original 1963 except for body refinish and repaired routing in bridge pickup cavity. A previous owner repaired the routed cavity with some plastic wood filler and refinished the body in what looks like "Vintage White". Decent job - looks like thin nitro as you can see a little wood grain showing. Perfect body contours. There are a few dings in the finish. I believe this was originally a Sunburst guitar because there is a faint pencil date in the tremolo pocket - you can see the "3" and part of the "6". Sunburst Strats had dates in the tremolo pocket. The neck is rosewood and perfectly straight. Dated 2 SEPT 63 B. Finish worn off the back and it's like silk and no dings. Fretboard is worn but frets are very playable and has clay dot markers. Had different tuners but Fender Deluxe are installed now. Neck is solid and a little on the chunky side. Original parts; Green pickguard (slightly shrunk), aluminum shield, Black bottom pickups, Bridge 5.65 ohms, Middle 5.53 ohms, Neck 5.80 ohms, CRL 1452 3-way switch, pots; 304-6334, output jack with large screws, original bridge, saddles & tremolo arm with original plastic tip, original control knobs, back cover (slightly shrunk with one corner missing). All hardware looks original. Original Fender tolex case without Fender logo, in nice shape. Original owner manual, one extra tremolo spring spring), polish cloth, bridge cover (ashtray) and strap. Guitar weighs just over 8 lbs. Everything works and it plays and sounds awesome. MORE PHOTOS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST PLEASE CALL 860-916-7190 WITH ANY QUESTIONS SHIPPING; $65.00 CONTINENTAL USA ONLY. ADDITIONAL POSTAGE MAY APPLY FOR AK or HI. OVERSEAS BUYERS MUST CONTACT ME PRIOR TO BIDDING. Please email or call with any questions prior to bidding. CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT PAYMENT.
