INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS MUST CONTACT ME FIRST PRIOR TO BIDDING, BUYING OR MAKING OFFERS!!!!Up for a buy it now or best offer is a pretty rare 1936 or so Gibson Recording King Wards tenor banjo, which I think is the Model 6, but correct me if I am wrong. This banjo was not serial numbered or have a FON (not uncommon on these) so I am guessing the date as it came with the matching guitar from the same owners original estate (see last pic) the guitar is available on another ebay listing. Anyway, this is a great playing, sounding and looking tenor! The neck is straight, with excellent original frets, and Brazilian fingerboard. The banjo is all original minus 1 tension hook, and 2 tension nuts. The original finish on all of the wood parts is excellent and they are all in excellent crack free condition, and the neck and resonator back have some very nice flame in the maple. These RKs are so cool, with the deeper resonator, multi ply bindings and lovely engraved fan inlays. The original one piece cast flange is excellent, as is the original armrest. The tension hoop and hooks have corrosion. The tailpiece was repaired, but is fine, other than that, this banjo is in great condition. It plays and sounds wonderful!!! The sound is very complex, loud and punchy, what you would expect from Gibson during their golden era of banjos. Play it like it is, or make an awesome 5 string pre war Mastertone conversion!!! The banjo comes in its original case, which is totally solid, and has done a wonderful job of preserving it!!! I also have the matching guitar (see last pic), from the same original owners estate, on another ebay listing, these are a very cool matching set, and I would love to see them stay together as they have been so, for the last 81 years!!!   SHIPPING WILL BE CHEAPER THAN POSTED THE CLOSER YOU LIVE TO NY!!! Thanks, and PLEASE call with any questions!!!!
