This hand made masterpiece is #26 of the initial run of the Rick Derringer Isabella model made in 2005. I am the original owner, having purchased it directly from Warrior Guitars at Arlington Guitar show in October, 2005. Lightly gigged at church, It is all original, in near mint condition, no dings, scratches, nicks or other blemishes. Warrior is well known for superior guitar construction, design and craftsmanship, playability and superb sound. The Rick Derringer model was produced in collaboration with Mr. Derringer.Signed, numbered and inscribed "Lord Bless" by Rick Derringer on the tremolo cover on back (shown in picture)
The body is 125 year old solid mahogany in a beautiful sunburst.
Very comfortable wide neck, not to thin or thick.
Fretboard is ebony. Frets are in new condition.
Tuners: Sperzel
Inlays are simple but elegant. A cross inlay is at the 12th fret
Pickups: P90's in bridge & neck position, one single coil in middle position. The 5 position speed blade can acheive 5 different tone combinations, including classic/vintage tone achieved through each of the 5 settings. Each control knob (volume & tone) is push/pull. When pulling either knob, another tonal setting is acheived, giving 7 possible tone combinations.
The action on this guitar is very low & plays fast & flawlessly along the ebony fretboard. It will basically melt in your hand.
I currently have the guitar tuned down one half step, in keeping with how Rick Derringer prefers to tune his guitars as did such legends as Jimi Hendrix & SRV. I have also played it at times at 440 pitch without any problem.
Other Included items:
Original black deluxe hard shell case with a semi gloss exterior very similar to early PRS Private Stock cases. The left latch is slightly bent but functions properly (included in pictures)
Tremolo bar
Certificate of Authenticity signed by Luthier JD Lewis, owner of Warrior Guitars, plus a separate sheet describing the 7 position electronic switching
Warrior Leather strap & a package of Dunlop strap locks
Warrior polishing clothFree Shipping within the Continental U.S.
