As Gibson’s first solidbody electric guitar, the Les Paul Model made a lasting impression when it debuted in 1952, and it continues to shape the sounds of popular music. This 2001 Gibson Les Paul Standard is in nice condition with only some minor surface/pick scratches as well as minor fretwear from normal playing and includes original Gibson Hardshell Case. Ever since PAF humbuckers met flamed-maple top in 1958, the Les Paul Standard has been revered among players for its unparalleled heights of tone and playability, as well as its sultry looks. The guitar took on iconic status in the hands of players such as Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield, Jimmy Page, Paul Kossoff, Slash, Zakk Wylde, and countless others. This one joins that crowd with the 498T/490R pickup combo before the addition of Burstbuckers the next year. Now the Les Paul Standard from Gibson USA kicks the legend into a whole new dimension however, otherwise still embodies everything that made the “standard” legendary. This 2001 Gibson Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar is a used item in VG+ condition. There is no real wear showing in terms of any major dings, marks or issues with the exception of some light surface scratches on the guitar’s top and back from normal use. They can be seen, but none break the surface of the finish. The electronics work as they should and the fretwear is normal, but minimal.
