This is the mythical and exceptional example of the Paiste 22" Sound Creation Dark Ride cymbal weighing a desirable 3054 grams. The serial number dates it to 1978. I've owned several of these and this has been my favorite. The lighter weight gives the cymbal a tad more spread. The response, crashes and shanks are also more easily achieved. The weight came to me written under the bell but it feels relatively accurate compared to the other five SCDR's I have owned. I even played this one beside another and it felt lighter with better spread and tone. BONUS: IT'S IN SUPERB CONDITION! No flea bites, keyhole, or cracks. It does have a few light scratches. Some oxidation/staining and tape residue on the surface. Logos are strong. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
