1965 Fender Bassman Blackface Amp head in fully-serviced/restored condition that is ready to play. Pictures are part of the description so look at them carefully as what you see is what you get! Power - 110-120 VAC only.All new matched JJ 6L6 GC power tubes. All new JJ preamp tubes. Restored to all original Fender early AB165 circuit e.g. no modifications to the AB165 circuit like most I have seen being sold. Worn-out parts were replaced as needed.A note on my repair/restoration. If you were buying a 1965 Chevy and someone replaced the broken tail lights with ones from a 2017 Chevy what you think?? I feel the same about replacing parts in a vintage amp. Yes, you must use modern electronic parts but they don’t have to look modern!! That is why when I replace the cap’s I dress them to look as much like the originals as possible. I also use more expensive carbon composition resistor rather than the cheap film ones. My repairs take more time but then why buy a vintage amp if you don’t care what it looks like or how it was restored?Chassis serial number is: A09149 – Dates to 1965

Output Transformer: 125 A13A - Date/Mfg code: 606513 – 13th week of 1965
Choke: Must have been replaced long ago as it is old but not original.
Original Blackface knobs: All the old original Fender Blackface knobs have the set screw in the #10 position all newer knobs and replacements have the set screw in the #1 position. All these knobs have the set screw in the #10 position.
Tube Chart AA165: Production 10 - Date code OI (1965, September) Yes, Fender used up old tube charts as the tube location and type were the same. You must look at the circuit to see if it is an AB864, AA165 or AB165.This Amp is an AB165 circuit.
