This is a new guitar that has been in our shop display. Fender Special Edition Custom Tele FMT HH Black Cherry Burst General This Fender FMT HH Black Cherry Burst can rightfully be called a special edition Telecaster as it is far from standard with a mahogany body, a flamed maple top, a set-in mahogany neck and two powerful humbuckers. It is still a proper Tele though, with its distinctive headstock and body shape and its strings-through-body bridge. This guitar has a warm, powerful sound thanks to its mahogany body and Seymour Duncan humbuckers. The materials and construction give this guitar lots of sustain and the beautiful flamed maple top adds a clear sparkle to the warm sound. FMT/HH FMT/HH stands for Flamed Maple Top and the double humbucker pickup configuration. Both the top and the body are carved, resulting in a guitar that is beautiful to look at and comfortable to play, as it rests against your body comfortably. Both pickups are Seymour Duncans; there's a Pearly Gates at the bridge for a warm, vintage output with rough edges, as well as a familiar Seymour Duncan '59 at the neck that can be used for jazz, country, blues and funk just as well as the heavier types of music. General characteristics The comfortable mahogany neck features a rosewood fretboard with 22 jumbo frets and has the same beautiful cream-coloured bindings as the body. The coil-split function allows you to enjoy the single-coil sparkle in addition to the powerful humbucker sounds, making this a highly versatile Telecaster as you can tell from the videos below which range from country rock to heavy rock leads. The Fender Telecaster FMT HH is excellently suited as a go-to back up guitar for session musicians and is the perfect instrument for guitarists who are looking for a warm sound with plenty sustain but have fallen for the iconic looks of the Telecaster, all thanks to its great versatility and mahogany/maple/humbucker combination.
