I am a worship leader at my church, and this guitar has been kept in a smoke-free environment for the last 2 years, and has had an oasis humidifier in it ever since I've owned it, which has been filled weekly.  It has been in my church office, or our sanctuary 98% of the time.  I am VERY careful about taking the guitar out in cold or hot weather, and other than the drive home from Dallas, this guitar has seldom even ridden back and forth from my home to church (only about 2 miles).  I cracked the top of a really nice acoustic when I was in my 20's by taking it out in cold weather and learned that lesson the hard way.  I am EXTREMELY careful with temperature fluctuations and moving guitars between locations in cold or hot weather - even to the point of being obsessive.A couple of notes:1.  There are a few small dings, which are shown in the pictures.  Had to work hard to get the right angle to show them.  The one to the left of the fingerboard is a little longer than the picture shows clearly.  The one on the cutaway is just a ding.  There are a few small things like this, just from normal wear at rehearsals.  If you're looking for a pristine mint guitar to put in a museum, don't buy it.  If you're looking for a well-cared for instruments with a few insignificant dings, then you're looking in the right place.2.  This model year is the year that Taylor made changes to their 800/900 series guitars to make them a bit warmer sounding.  I've included a picture with the serial # to allow authentication of the year.  If I read the serial # correctly, it was made in March of 2015 and I bought it on May 29, 2015.3.  The guitar currently has a slightly lighter gauge of string than when I bought it.  I'm 54 and don't play as many hours as I used to, so I needed a slightly lighter gauge.  I bought the 816 because I like a little more low end, so I wanted some relief for my hands, but without losing the low end that I bought the 816 for.  The change was minimal, and I had he action adjusted an authorized Taylor dealer after changing the string gauge.  It currently has a brand new set of strings on it.4.  I am not selling the guitar because of anything wrong with it, or that I didn't like it.  I was looking at a couple of different options for guitars and wanted a true dual-source system where I could adjust each source element independently.  After I had the Taylor for about 2 years, I found another guitar with that capability and couldn't justify having two expensive acoustics, as both are in about the same price range.5.  Free standard shipping in included.  I will likely have it packed professionally and insure it, just to be safe.  I will only ship to the lower 48 U.S. States.  If you live close to Omaha, NE, you can arrange pickup, but payment is only through PayPal.
6.  This model sells for about $3,500 new at Sweetwater or Musician's Friend.  If you need to see specs on this model, you can check Taylor's web site or any online Taylor dealer.  If you need additional pictures or have questions about my instrument, please let me know.
