Single ply steam bent shells are crafted from beautifully irregular premium wood boards which retains sound sensitivity like no other snare. This snare has made it's way from the prestigious Craviotto Custom Shop, which means this snare has been created to exact specifications and you better believe those specifications where chosen for their ability to perform!Baseball Bat Bearing Edges are on the top of the snare and 45º Bearing Edges on the bottom you really are getting fusion from start to finish! Baseball Bat Bearing Edges are on the top of this custom snare drum and it produces a fat, punchy sound with fewer overtones and is perfect for a vintage style sound. 45º Bearing Edges were chosen on the bottom of this custom snare drum, presumably because 45º Bearing Edges generate more attack and sustain allowing for a livelier sound, which some would say sounds more contemporary. Together they come together to create a super unique mirage of sound.Crafted using an Ash shell, which is somewhat similar to a Maple shell, similar to maple it is extremely all purpose, which has a rich tone however a significant difference is the longer note and higher pitch this wood is capable of. A warm amount of mids and highs can be achieved with a relatively average low end. One distinctive feature of Ash is the unmistakeable pronounced grain. The Sonic Blue finish is cool, calm and collected, with so much swagger it has a light and dreamy air as well as holding that striking sonic colour.
