Beautiful custom made banjo by luthier Ed Fuchs, who was also a neck builder from the 1970's & 80's, specializing in custom conversion banjo necks. Ed was a true artist and did intricate and flawless inlay work, including cutting his own pearl. To my knowledge, this is only true neck & resonator with his name. Frets barely marked & have been dressed. YATES wood rim, HOPKINS tone ring, mounted & fitted by YATES. GIBSON flange, tension hoop, & hooks - these were all purchased from GIBSON in the early 90's. Flange stamped "GIBSON USA". Presto tailpiece, 2-leg GIBSON arm rest. Tuners are SHALLER ( I think). One adjustment rod but rim is cut for two. Minor ruts on fingerboard. This beauty plays and sounds GREAT! A lot of banjo for the money.
