So, ready to go out of the box this should ideally make a working jazzer very happy. These sets are rapidly gaining a deserved reputation as the go to vintage bopset for those who prefer not to shell out on the (some might say) vastly overpriced US equivalents. Certainly they've been leaving my RBs on the shelf for a while ... Sizes ...18x14 Bass drum. 3ply mahogany shell with solid beech rerings. 8 Sydney Opera House lugs, 16 cast Ls and claws. Gull wing spurs and oval Lokfast tom mount plate plus single arm. Used Remo CS clear head to batter and brand new smooth white to reso with new logo affixed. This bass drum has been made from an original 70s Premier floor tom to a different depth from the standard factory size of the period (18x12). This gives the drum a bit more versatility in my opinion. All previous fixing holes were plugged with solid mahogany dowel and sanded flush. The work has been carried out to the highest standard. 14x14 Floor tom. 3ply mahogany shell with solid beech rerings. 16 SOH style lugs, square headed tension bolts for ease of tuning. Streamline cast hoops and rectangular damper, T screw leg mounts and replacement non Premier 9.5mm legs with rubber feet. Used Ambassador coated to batter and Everplay to reso. 12x8 ride tom. 3ply mahogany shell with solid beech rerings. 6 SOH lugs, square headed tension bolts for ease of tuning. Streamline cast hoops and rectangular damper plus Lokfast tom mount. Used Ambassador coated to batter and Everplay to reso. The badge has been moved across one panel and previous fixing hole plugged as per the bass drum.So here's an opportunity to obtain a rather rare Premier offering that should only increase in value (recent sales of the sets have seen the £1000 mark breached twice) and they aren't making them any more after all. This one has been refurbished to a very high standard though given the age of the the metalwork some pitting should be expected. Please peruse the photos and judge for yourselves. Included in this sale are the three drums (18/14/12) ONLY and all other items (ie snare/hardware/cymbals) are shown for illustrative purposes only and are NOT FOR SALE IN THIS LISTING.
