To celebrate this auspicious occasion, Gibson offered a limited run of Tom Murphy aged 1952 replicas. Gibson was originally set to make just 52 pieces, however, it appears that they only made 29 and out of that 29, only 8 stayed in the USA. The specs are dead on. The body has a carved maple top. The one piece neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with accurate pearloid trapezoid inlays. Dual P-90 single coils dish out killer tone. Kluson style tuners and the infamous wrap around trapeze tailpiece round out the package. Cool and authentic Goldtop lacquer finish aged by Tom Murphy. This is a great playing and sounding Les Paul. The action is low, the frets feel perfect and the neck is super straight. The P-90's sound awesome with warm, vintage tone. Everything works as it should. This one came from the factory pre aged so it has all kinds of authentic checking, dents, dings, and wear. It appears to have seen little use and was probably collector owned. It comes in its original brown Lifton case with signed cert, case candy and a pickguard hand signed by old Les Paul himself!
