Vintage 1960 Fender Musicmaster Offered for auction is a Vintage 1960 Fender Musicmaster Guitar. The neck is straight and the truss rod works. The action is good and the guitar plays well with fabulous bluesy tone from the original black bottom pickup.
There is plenty of life remaining on the frets. The original tan finish has wear that is visible in the photos and shows checking that adds to the vintage vibe. The pots have 1959 date code stamps and still have the original tone capacitor. The serial number on the neck plate dates to 1960. The neck has a slab fingerboard with clay dots. Scale length is 22 1/2 inches and fingerboard width is 1 1/2 inches at the nut.. The volume and tone knobs are original and identical to the knobs used on vintage Telecasters. All parts are original and the original Bulwyn case is in good shape.
