Its features, such as enhanced signal processing power on each channel and the ability to store settings easily, are what help set this mixer apart. The user control is intuitive, allowing users to choose from a handful of straightforward menus to get started. Effects range from delay to rich reverb and ambience, giving you the flexibility and control you need when it comes to making pro audio recordings. You can build loops, mixes, and sound effects first, then polish and perfect them for a rewarding live performance with guitars and other instruments or accessories. After building in these loops, mixes, and sound effects, take them with you to integrate them into your live show. You can automate the performance fully by processing channels using your most desired plug-ins. This PreSonus mixer is outfitted with 16 mic/line inputs with Class A XMAX mic preamplifiers along with a FireWire input select. Class A preamps offer deeper lows and smoother highs for a richer stereo-quality sound. A variety of software is included, such as Capture 1.1 recording for Mac and PC, QMix aux-control for your iPhone and iPod touch, and StudioLive Remote mixer-control for iPad. Control the StudioLive with your iPad, Mac, or PC or use your iPhone or iPad Touch to monitor mixes. Having wireless control of the StudioLive mixer from your laptop or phone gives you more free time to focus on your performance rather than setup. The integrated software allows users to save and recall settings in order to pick up where they left off previously. Lighted solo and mute buttons enhance any performance, whether you’re performing for an audience or rocking out at home. The digital console presentation mimics that of an analog mixer with knobs and sliders, but it’s completely digital. Each of the four subgroup buses comes with access to Fat Channel functions, except phase reverse and high-pass filter, along with solo and mute. This integrated hardware-software recording and mixing system is optimal for mixing smaller shows and other places you may need a rack-mount mixer. It’s also suitable for use in small bands, educational institutions, worship services, and small club systems. Combine two of these StudioLive mixers for medium-sized events and shows. This single PreSonus mixer houses a large library of DSP effects, mixer save and recall, channel-strip save and talkback, high-headroom microphone preamplifiers, a FireWire recording playback, and interface, and more than 90 signal processors. When you’re finished recording studio tracks or audio tracks for a live performance, polish up your work with the Studio One Artist digital audio workstation. Highlights include drag-and-drop features, auto configuration with the PreSonus StudioLive, and unlimited plug-ins and tracks. There’s also a 32-bit effects library with modulation effects, reverbs, amp simulators, dynamic processors, and more to mix up your main tracks. StudioLive mixers have a smart measurement technology with visual audio measurement techniques and tools for a full sound system analysis and optimization. Compensate for room acoustics and speaker response by applying the mixer’s graphic equalizers to the main, subgroup, and aux outputs. The PreSonus StudioLive 16.4.2 Digital Mixer allows even amateur musicians to mix their music at a professional-level quality.
