New Roger Giffin Standard Hollowbody Special Edition in stock, hand built by Roger in his Oregon shop. Some words from the master about this guitar:"This Standard has a few unusual features and a lot of very nice wood.  The one-piece Maple top has some really lovely figure, and the curly Honduras Mahogany body is one of the nicest mahogany pieces I've seen for a long time The neck is made from the same plank of mahogany.  Instead of binding on the body, I inlayed a "violin-style" purfling around the inside edge on the front which gives the effect of a Maple bound outer edge.  I cut strips of the same Maple, and used it for binding on the fingerboard and head stock.  The fingerboard is a highly figured piece of Ziricote which, in my opinion, didn't need inlays.  I used the same Ziricote for the head stock face and the pickup rings.    The nickel hardware consists of a set of Kluson Waffleback tuners and a Schroeder Wraparound bridge.  I've used Amalfitano Fullbuckers with a coil tap on the push/pull tone control.  The knobs, incidentally, are made from pieces of the Mahogany and Maple used on the guitar body. .     I oiled the wood before the clear gloss finish was applied, this really brought out all the different elements of figure in the wood.  It's a very pretty guitar which I feel deserves to be named "special edition!" Body:  curly one piece Honduras Mahogany Top:   One piece curly mapleNeck:   Curly mahoganyFingerboard:  ZiricoteScale length:  24 3/4 inchesInlay:  Standard Pearl linesHead Veneer:  ZiricoteHardware: NickelBridge:  Schroeder WraparoundTuners:  KlusonPickups: Amalfitano Fullbuckers w coil tapFinish:  Naturals/n 51171306 lbs. 12 oz.  Why buy from Willcutt Guitars
