1952 Gibson Royaltone Lap steel guitar, a top quality instrument; hey, it's a Gibson !Rare and original Gibson Royaltone lap steel guitar in excellent condition, one of the nicest lap steels ever made ! The Royaltone was built for a very short period between 1950 and 1952, and was the first Gibson lap steel to be fitted with the new adjustable-pole P-90 pickup. It’s a steel with excellent tone, and classic early 1950’s looks.
Almost completely original and in perfect working order, this Royaltone features tall numbered speed knobs, Kluson three-per-strip tuners with white buttons, metal nut, and plastic bridge cover. With original hard shell caseOnly built from 1950-1952. Nice flamed maple veneer on solid mahogany body. The electronics are original and untouched, including the original Gibson P-90 pickup with adjustable polepieces and two original pots. The Kluson "3 on a stripe" "Single-line" tuners are in good shape and work fine, both golden "speed-knobs" are original and look great on this instrument. Ships in its original brown hard shell case.
