The Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass is perfect for those who love when vintage meets modern. Its appearance is very simple, but that makes it all the better. The lack of pick guard and fretboard inlay let you enjoy the dark colors given off by the sleek finish and stained rosewood fretboard. The body features elegant contours and a carved top, and is constructed of basswood making it fairly light. It also sports a P/J style pickup configuration giving it loads of versatility. Main Features P/J style pickupsSlim bodyStratocaster output jack P/J style pickups Though it's a jazz bass, the Aerodyne features a P/J pickup configuration which consists of a split single coil pickup which delivers a lot of growl, and a more bright sounding single coil placed by the bridge. Slim Body This jazz bass features a non traditional body that has elegant contours and a carved top resulting in an insanely comfortable, light body. Another perfect example of how this bass represents vintage meeting modern. Stratocaster Output Jack Perhaps a less important feature, but still notable, is the output jack. The jack is the same style that would go on a Stratocaster guitar, and enters the body at an angle so you can plug in your bass and keep the cord out of the way and not have to have it stick out so much.
