This listing is for a vintage 1968-69 VOX SUPER FOUNDATION BASS 100 Watt solid state amp top in superb condition. This amp has not seen much use at all over the past 48 years. It is an early VOX SOUND EQUIPMENT LTD. version and happens to be a transitional model that includes some but not all of the specs you would find with a JMI SUPER FOUNDATION. Overall the condition of the amp is an easy 9/10 and definitely collector grade quality. It does have some light scuffing and very light wear and tear. Functionally, the amp is in 100% working condition. A modern power plug has been added at some point to replace the original that is still in place. This easily can be brought back to original spec.
This amp features Germanium based Fuzz/Distortion(fully adjustable/requires footswitch and included). Also has mid boost facility, with three way varitone switch. Finding a VOX SFB in this condition is challenging and also rather difficult because of the rarity of this model. Most you see are generally well used with lost or broken components and more often than not,in a state of disrepair. This amp can also be used as guitar or keyboard amp with amazing results.This is a great opportunity to score a true BRITISH invasion bass amplifier that can replicate those timeless electric bass tones of players like McCartney,Wyman,Chandler and countless others.
