you're looking at an original 1955 Harmony Stratotone H42 in original sparkle green finish! solid body, Neck through body design (one of first), super cool nickel diner table binding (original), original neck pickup (dated 1955) and electronics, original pickguard, original tuners, and nut.these models came with a single neck pickup, which i always thought is a bit limiting in a live situation.I've made few upgrades that makes this guitar versatile in sound and playing!1. added a bridge gold foil dearmond pickup, same as the original neck pickup but from early 60's, only 2 small pickup mounting screws into body was made, and replaced the on/off tone button with pickup selector, so for a very minor mod now you got 2 extra killer sounds out of this monster! 2. refret to original spec vintage style frets, as all of these should be, because there is no truss rod, i've had 4 of these and they all needed new frets, now has a smooth low action3. new stronger bridge, in almost all of these the bridge would break or bend or just came off, i've custom made a similar looking bridge but a more solid one with 4 screws instead of 2 (originally)the guitar sound amazing, and has that 50's tone on the neck, but also with the added pickup got that surfy 60's sound and in middle a really funky afro sound:)
