Rare, hand signed and numbered limited edition Dean USA Hardtail from the first production run of 100. I am the original owner of this guitar. I purchased it at a great shop called the Music Gallery, Highland Park, Ill. In November, 2002. According to the store owner, this Hardtail and one other had just been personally hand selected from the original production run & delivered to the Music Gallery for their inventory by Dean Zelinsky himself. Dean lived near the store at that time, is a good friend of the owner of the store & also brought his son there for guitar lessons.
The HardTail was produced as an alternative to the PRS craze, and also to Gibson Les Pauls, but at a much lower price point. This is a true USA made instrument, not the Korean stuff for Guitar Center. The neck is wide with a very low profile. Has very fast, low action. The fit and finish is outstanding & the guitar plays/sounds fantastic. The separate volume & tone knobs for each pickup provide the tonal flexibility to rival any Les Paul or PRS, plus provides a very nice feature whereby if you roll off just a bit on the volume it affects the phasing of the pick-ups thus creating a different tone. The specially designed Seymour Duncans remind me of Pearly Gates, as they capture the wide tonal range of a rock and blues monster.
This guitar has never been gigged with and is in near unplayed condition, as shown in the photos. Everything on it is all original. There are no nicks or dings on it whatsoever. Frets are like brand new.The back of the Headstock is signed & numbered by Dean ZelinskyIncluded: Original Certificate of Authenticity also signed by Dean Zelinsky Specs: • Body: Hand selected mahogany• Top: Thick flamed maple in BraziliaBurst• Set Mahogany Neck, fast playing Ebony Fingerboard, 22 Jumbo Frets• Fretboard 24 3/4 Scale, 1 11/16 Nut• Inlays: I believe they are abalone• Pickups: Seymour Duncan• Tone Pros II bridge with adjustment tool in the case• Original Hard Shell Case• Tuners: GroverThe pictures here do not do this guitar justiceStarting bid of $1,750 I am also offering free shipping within the continental United States.
