Reluctant sale of various rare and interesting instruments.As founder member of folk band Tarras I had various instruments commissioned and built to suit my needs and after some time I've decided to scale down my collection and concentrate on using my preferred guitars and related instruments. Back in the late 90s Tarras were having guitars , Citterns , mandolins and basses made by the fantastic Luthier Roger Bucknall of Fylde guitars in Penrith . Before an American tour I was keen to have a cittern with more volume and so liaised with Roger to have a very special instrument built . The result was this very high quality and spec guitar bodied cittern . Constructed in rosewood , Walnut and Mahogany and good quality internal pickup this cittern completely exceeded my expectations. The result was a phenomenal instrument with depth and richness , slim neck for easy playing , perfect for tunes and rhythm backing . In short a sound to die for . This cittern is a complete one off , unique and like no other . Gigged and toured for nearly 20 years but treated with care and always cased. She appeared on all our Tarras albums , various other collaborations and other artists albums . Respectful new home sought for her. To have an instrument like this constructed today would run into thousands of pounds, serious enquiries and bids please .
