Vox AceMade in England c.1964/5 by Jennings Music. The body is certainly the stratocaster shape, much moreso than the earlier models. This shape was first used after 1963, but the earlier models just had flat bodieswhereas this one has a much more rounded strat shape and is more of an advanced guitar all together. It has a white scratchplate with two white pickups with pole pieces, compared with earlier models whichhave chromed pickups very much like those by Fenton Weill - plus volume and tone controls and a two-waypickup selector switch. It has the rarely seen tremolo bridge/tailpiece with chrome cover which is stamped ''Vox'' and complete withthe original arm. The neck is bolted on and there are nineteen frets all in a good state. The headstock has thesix on a side original tuners, and still visible, the ''Vox'' and ''Ace'' logo as well as the words ''JMI Dartford Kent''.Not only is this guitar all original but has been fully checked over professionally and is fully working, and is a really good sounding guitar. It comes with its original case which is very worn but serviceable.(I have a collection of over twenty Vox guitars and basses - any questions please call on 07544 887582).
