DW Collector's 28x20 bass drum in "White Marine Pearl (WMP)" finish This is bigger than Bonham. You can fit his bass drum in this bass drum! See pic10 to see the size difference between 28 and 22. I've never seen anything like it before. Do you remember the old (I mean, VERY old, 1940's old) Ludwigs? Jazz players used to play with 28 to 32'' inch bass drums (like the picture below). So yes, as crazy as it sounds, you could play jazz with this bass drum, just make sure to not muffle it and tune it in a way that does not bring out the super powerful sound. And of course you can play rock, heavy metal, and almost every style with it. If you tune it very high, it will sound excellent for funk, but with a lot of body and volume. If you tune it low, it's perfect for ballads. If you tune it medium, excellent for rock or hard rock, or if you muffle it a lot, heavy metal. Lots of stage presence also. WMP is a pretty common color, so if you own already a WMP kit it's a great chance to add a unique piece to it. Or if you don't mind not matching it with the rest of the set, it's also a great addition. - Reinforcement rings. - Shell is 28 diameter and 20 deep. Shell without hoops is 20'' deep, but if you measure it from hoop to hoop is 23''. - Stamp date: Mar 2007.
