1993 SG Special. Fire engine red.Will be vintage in 6 months. Not to be confused with the SG Specials made since the mid 2000s. This is the original concept of making a great guitar more affordable in aesthetics only. Like the Les Paul Studio once was. Not a guitar that lacks the tone and playability of the more expensive model. Dot inlays ,plain paint job and no pickup covers. Silk screen logo and no crown on the headstock. Every thing else is the same as the Standard, unlike what they put out now.Even though they may install a hotter pickup in the bridge position, the new Standards cannot compare to this guitar other than looks . The pickups they put in dont make up for the lack of wood quality and craftmanship .Low hours of play. Frets are in great condition up and down the neck. No issues with electronics at all. No scratchy pots or switch. A set of original PAF 490s give this guitar that classic tone and blows away ANY newer crap specials and Standards as well. Including any reissues or tributes. They are NOT made of the same quality of wood. Period. Gibsons will never be the same. I would not be selling it if it was not necessary. I am a player. This is for other players and collectors who can appreciate and understand what I'm talking about. It can only go up in value over the years. Again, there are low hours of play on this guitar. No low balling wholesalers need apply. Usual minor nicks and scratches. $700 obo
Ps: The 5th number IS a 3 and not an 8. Thats the best pic out of 4. Money back on that issue.
