Ultra rare Starfield America Cabriolet American Standard Guitar for sale. This is an unusual and collectible version of the American Standard in that it has twin Seymour Duncan humbuckers AND what looks like a custom order factory fitted active mid boost circuit. So there's an additional control pot for blending the mid-boost in! Master volume, master centre detented tone and master boost. Never seen another like it.The highly figured flame maple neck is stamped 'MACE', (that would be Mace Bailey one of the 2 L.A. custom shop luthiers who made these awesome guitars during the 1990's. It may well be a Japanese neck and the guitar was 'assembled in the USA' which was common as it doesn't carry a 'Made in the USA' stamp. The original tuners are long gone and have been replaced with a set of USA locking Sperzels. Original Wilkinson USA bridge has been replaced with a later Wilkinson model but I still have the original which will be included in the sale.This guitar has been played and shows lots of wear, dents and dings but is set up to perfection and plays and sounds great.Will ship to Mainland U.K. in a non original high quality Kinsman case.I'm not about to pull out the pickups or remove the neck but serious bidders can contact me for more detailed pics if required.Thanks for looking.
