Yamaha Super Flighter SF-400 (1979, Red)Here on offer an extremely rare 1st issue Super Flighter SF-400, set neck series made in Japan by Yamaha from 1978 to 1979, these guitars are related to the earliest superflighters SF-500, 700 and 1000 and are well sought after.The guitar has a 22-fret set neck into a solid mahogy body. It has two humbucker pickups with independent volume and tone controls, the SF700 features a coil-tap option like the SF1000, albeit via a micro -witch and has a wide tonal range. Good quality chrome hardware and tuners, versatile and solid, and accurate. Rose fret board with mother of pearl dot markers.The guitar sustains well and is a real joy to play. The action has been set low and the guitar is well over 35 years old, is reasonably clean and only has some minor genuine play marks This guitar is a brilliant axe and suits a mix of blues/classic rock, rhythm or lead. Comes with vintage gig bag. Postage reflects shipping cost and insurance in transit.
