For sale is one of the cleanest examples of a Fullerton Reissue I’ve ever seen. This particular tele is one of the very early ones with “Vintage” written on the neck heel before they started writing the dates in pencil. This tele was hot-rodded a long time ago with a humbucker in the neck, and yes…the body was routed for a Nashville configuration (very clean routing, but invasive nonetheless). Those of you that are familiar with the first run of Reissues from the early 80’s know how much they are skyrocketing in value. In this condition, an ’82 Fullerton RI in this condition should fetch upwards $3k or more (if it wasn’t for the routing in the body). Nevertheless, this is an ultra-clean example with only minor signs of use and light finish checking. Frets are great, pickups are original, case seems original, and the tele plays and sounds wonderful! At some point the tuners were changed, but the originals were put back (previous tuners left extra screw holes in the back of the headstock). The wiring and pots have all been replaced, and a 4-way switch was added (3-way switch is included). The tele will also come with an extra pick guard with a humbucker routing, in case the new owner want’s to have a Fullerton Hot Rod 52 Tele.
