This Reverend Tricky Gomez 290 Hardtail in Cream is exclusive to Merchant City Music in the UK. This beautiful Tricky Gomez is the brainchild of Katie Harkin. Katie has three brilliant albums with her band Sky Larkin and has recently toured with Sleater-Kinney and fellow Reverend endorsee Jenn Wasner. Although not an official signature model, Katie asked Ken Haas at Reverend to make this guitar happen and he did! Only 12 have been produced and we have the only 5 available for sale in the UK. Reverend Tricky Gomez 290 Hardtail Cream - Limited Edition This unique Tricky Gomez 290 features a hardtail Tune-O-Matic bridge instead of the regular Bigsby. The semi-hollow Korina body is topped with solid Maple. A three-piece Korina neck is fitted with a 12" radius Rosewood fingerboard. The whole guitar is finished in a hard wearing satin Cream which feels great to play and looks amazing. 22 perfectly levelled and polished medium jumbo frets make playing this Tricky Gomez a joy. You can get the action nice and low without too much fret buzz. Reverend CP90 pickups Reverend make a mean P90 and this Tricky Gomez is loaded with two of them. These really are sweet sounding pickups especially when loaded in to the semi-hollow body of the Tricky Gomez. The bridge pickups is sightly hotter than a vintage P90. Raw, classic tone with slightly less hum than most other P90’s. The neck is slightly cleaner than a vintage P90 with a clear, open tone. The pickups are wired to a 3-way switch and 3 controls; volume, tone and bass contour. The range of tones on offer here is amazing and the Tricky Gomez 290 is more than capable of handling many genres from rock to jazz. New Boneite nut and locking tuners The Reverend Tricky Gomez 290 Hardtail Cream features Reverend's new Boneite nut. The synthetic bone material looks like bone, sounds like bone and has the slippery properties of graphite, allowing strings to easily slide through the nut slots, improving tuning stability. Tuning is also extra stable thanks to the fixed bridge and locking tuners. It's also super easy to change strings.The Tricky Gomez has been one of our best selling Reverend models over the years. This limited edition hardtail version is very special indeed. It's a unique colour and spec and we recommend snapping one up while you can!
