Up for sale, an electric guitar constructed with a USA Custom Guitars neck and Fender Custom Shop Texas Special Telecaster pickups. Crafted with optimal Tele tone and rigorous gigging in mind, this guitar delivers the goods with a great range of classic Tele tones. The neck is made in America by USA Custom Guitars, a company which is an offshoot of Warmoth, created to best their previous company with great quality and attention to detail. With a slab rosewood board, 12" fretboard radius, medium jumbo fretwire, and one-piece maple construction, this neck is the heart of the feel and resonance of the instrument, paired with a lightweight pine body. The instrument weighs in at 7lbs 6oz.The bridge pickup has bark, detail, and chime, while the middle position on the three-way toggle has an ideal rhythm guitar setting with a balance of thickness and percussive clarity. Switching to the neck pickup gives you a bit more girth, warmth, and roundness without sacrificing clarity. It's an great lead setting that works well with a variety of drive pedals. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, we've dialed in this guitar with 10-46 strings, solid intonation, and low, slinky action.The neck has a chunky C shaped profile with a smooth satin finish and generous slab rosewood fretboard. The scale length is 25 1/2" with 21 medium jumbo frets that retain their full, factory height with well rounded crowns. There is very light wear beneath the G and B strings from frets 1-6, and sparingly little wear further up the board. The guitar plays cleanly in all positions with no buzzing or dead spots. On the headstock, USA Custom Guitars has crafted a shape that's similar to Fender's iconic carve, but with just enough variance to make it uniquely theirs. A set of Kluson-style tuners round things out.All of the electronics work as they should, with the aforementioned Texas Special Custom Shop Tele pickups wired to full size CTS pots and a four-way pickup selector switch. Cosmetically, this guitar is in great shape, with chrome that has plenty of shine and a vibrant three-tone Sunburst finish.
