Ultra Rare 1984 Hamer Prototype II USASerial number 412311Pick up the instrument. Plug it in. Notice how simple and functional the controls are. Change the volume setting and notice that the treble response doesn't disappear as you turn the control down.Unlike other guitars the tone circuit in the Prototype is useful and sensitive. The 'normal' setting for the tone is about 5. As the control is turned towards 10 you'll notice a boost in the highs. Turn the control down and you'll boost the midrange response. The tone control can be used in conjunction with the selector switch to give an unlimited variety of sounds. The Prototype II was limited to 1984 production only. This example has been modified in wiring and pickups. I purchased it from a gentleman that gigged with it extensively in the San Francisco area and the wear shows. It has a fantastic black Nitro finish that is starting to show vintage wear.3-way selector and single coil on/off. Awesome sounding with a very responsive tonal body. Bridge - Seymour Duncan 59BJ -'59 Bridge wound by J
Middle - Seymour Duncan 3R - Hot Reversed Single Coil
Neck - DiMarzio DP193 - Air Norton semi hot Kahler tremolo and Hamer tuners.Original pickguard is included as is original hardshell case.
