1977 Gibson Firebird Bicentennial - they ran the Bicentennial from 1976 to 1978 (some say even up til 1979) For sale a super cool guitar! The "pros" outweigh the "cons".This guitar was no breaks or repairs. Plays and sounds wonderful. I believe the neck pickup to be original with the BRIDGE pickup is a brand new Duncan JB w/ Gold cover (not in all the pics - I just upgraded it), it in not original to the guitar, the pickup cavity has been slightly modified to accommodate the larger footprint required.I would classify the neck as a slim taper, easy and fast to play. The other obvious modification is the addition of a Kahler tremolo and locking nut, I figured it was added back in the 1980's. The guitar is intonated and plays great and stays in tune. However there was routing of the top to get this bridge in there. also an additional strap button was addedthe Guitar has the correct and rare Bicentennial Pick guard  Original Case . in decent conditionThe stock banjo style tuners work good however (1) is probably from a left handed guitar because it works in opposite direction of others, doesn't really matter due to locking nut, just during a restringNeck pick up sound a lot like a Telecaster - this guitar is really a blast to play.FOR SALE ELSEWHERE - AUCTION MAY END EARLY
