A fantastic and original
1989 Fender 1962 Reissue "V0" Stratocaster!
What you're looking at is an original "V0" Stratocaster reissue in VERY rare Fiesta Red Finish
Fender got it's groove back in 1980's and got it back hard. This baby has a nice THICK slab rosewood board that is dark and chocolatey just like Brazilian RW!Before the Fender "Custom Shop" was put into service as we know it today, Fender cranked out these amazing "AVRI" Stratocasters to exacting standards, hoping to earn back the reputation that had gotten away from them in the 1970's. This example is VERY clean with minimal wear and ALL it's original case candy and tags.
Priced a few thousand less than a new Custom Shop reissue and with nearly 30 years of real-world again you simply can't BEAT the quality and tone of this Stratocaster for the price. The Fiesta Red finish on this is true to the 1960's, with no clear top coat.
It's faded to a nice almost salmon pinkish color, just like a real 1962 Fiesta Strat would
This one LOOKS the part, SOUNDS the part and certainly PLAYS the part!
Now nearly 30 years old these reissues have MOJO! Using thin nitro finishes and vintage-correct pickups, wiring assemblies and body/neck routes, these 80's reissues have earned their reputation as being the finest Stratocasters Fender made since the original days of Pre-CBS Leo in the late 50's and early 60's.This Strat weighs in at 7lbs - rings like a bell and sounds incredible
