Vintage Ludwig Black Cortex 3ply 1970’s Drum KitBonham Drum Kit; 14x26; 10x14; 16x16; 16x18Have you ever dreamed of sounding like Bonham? Now is your chance to own and play the Monster drum kit like the one from Zeppelin! John’s drumming was the driving force that propelled the legendary Band. His playing style, drum selections and tuning was revolutionary for the time. This auction is for a Vintage 1970’s Ludwig that has been put together from Original Factory Ludwig 3 ply drums with reinforcement rings. The Vintage Shells were selected and matched for quality of construction, resonance and tonality. Our goal is to capture the identical sound and feel of Bonham’s actual 3ply Ludwig Drum Kit. This is not a reproduction kit, but made from an Original Vintage Ludwig Factory Drum Kit, with all original factory parts including drum heads. All Mount holes are Factory drilled and no cosmetic work has been performed. Even has clear interior and Blue and Olives Badges. The drums are an original factory kit. Ultra rare find! The very rare virgin 3ply 14” x 26” Bass drum with factory drill consulate mount and cymbal arm mount. What blew me away was the matching 10” x 14”, 16” x 16” and 16” x 18” Floor Toms. This was the greatest find of my vintage drum collecting. The Kit includes the Original Factory heads on all drums and the front Green Logo Bass Drum Head! One of the finishing touches is the Original Vintage Ludwig Rail Consulate Mount and Bass Drum Mounted Cymbal L-Arm mounted in the correct position from the factory. We have taken this to the next level by making sure the Drums are “in the round” and the heads “float”. If tuned as advised in Jeff Ocheltree’s Video on YouTube, you will have the exact Bonham drum sound!This era drum kit was Bonham’s favorite Kit. He always said it was the best sounding drum kit he owned and a lot of recording were on that kit. It has taken years to find the correct drums, and could be your last chance to find one. This is a vintage head with possible creases and dimples. Cost a lot of $$$ for one head!
