Hi, Here's a chance to own a really unique carbon fiber body which looks almost exactly like the XOX Audio Tools Handle, which won the Most Innovative Guitar of NAMM Award 2006, Best Guitar of NAMM Award 2007 and Good Design Award 2006.  I don't think they make the XOX any more, but if you search for XOX Audio Tools "The Handle" Guitar you'll find information on it.  This isn't an XOX Handle, you can tell because the hardware isn't quite the same... its got standard pickups, Grover Hardware, standard knobs and a rosewood fret-board, and its not branded anywhere.  Also the head-stock is slightly different.  Other than that it seems pretty much the same.  I am the second owner, and the original owner says it was made in China.Note, when I was taking photos of the guitar I noticed a scratch / hairline crack at the base of the neck.  You can see it if you look really close under the right light, and feel it with your fingernail.  It looks stable and doesn't expand if you bend the neck.  It doesn't affect play-ability, and given that they make bikes out of the stuff these days, I'm thinking it will be structurally fine, but I wanted to mention it and included a couple of close-up pictures.  I'll knock some extra $$ off the starting price from what I paid for it as well. The holes in the body and head-stock and the 100% carbon fiber construction makes this the lightest guitar I've ever owned, around 4 lbs.  Even compared to my Parker Fly, which is awfully light, it comes in at a slightly lighter weight.  The guitar also has a curved body, much like the Fly, or like a Brian Moore guitar, which really hugs the body when playing while standing.  The input jack is tucked and recessed on the back of the guitar, again similar to the Brian Moore, but positioned and shaped more like a Strat.  The neck is medium chunky, with a round profile, and there is no neck heel since the neck, body and head-stock are all a single piece of carbon fiber.I bought the guitar as a project, as I loved the look, and loved that it was so light.  It would be a breeze to upgrade, since the front and back carbon fiber panels that the pickups are mounted on to are removable, so you can swap pups without even changing strings.  I simply got too busy, and picked up too many other projects, so I have to make some decisions, so I'm hanging on to the Parker Fly to satisfy my unique modernistic guitar itch.Of course, some of the best arguments for a carbon fiber guitar are that they are impervious to temperature, humidity and weather, so are super stable and light weight; rigid but still every bit as resonant as a wooden guitar.A quote from Premier Guitars Rig Rundown:
Blondie’s original guitarist, Chris Stein, uses one guitar only—his “very sexy” XOX Audio Tools Carbon-Fiber guitar. Stein loves the lightness ... and says he’s finding it hard to go back to hardwood guitars. The carbon fiber weighs only 4 lbs. and is unaffected by weather and temperature.
