Up for sale, a 2002 Fender Stratocaster Acoustasonic in excellent condition and in good working order. This rare acoustic electric guitar caters to players that want the look and feel of a Strat with more acoustic presence and a piezo pickup system for cutting through the mix in a variety of live situations. The guitar has an acoustic tone with a barky, boxy sound befitting the shape, with surprising projection and a clear, defined sound when plugged in. This Acoustasonic weighs in at 6lbs 2oz. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Acoustasonic is strung with fresh 12-53 phosphor bronze strings and dialed in for optimal intonation and action. The medium C shape maple neck features a 22 fret rosewood fretboard, traditional 25 1/2" scale length, and 1 11/16" nut width. The stock medium jumbo frets are incredibly clean with perfectly rounded crowns and virtually no wear. On the headstock, the Fender-branded chrome tuners turn smoothly, and the "MZ2" prefix serial number denotes a manufacturing date of 2002 at Fender's Ensenada, Mexico factory. On the body, the carved rosewood bridge features a compensated saddle to ensure proper intonation. The two smaller soundhole slivers help keep any unwanted feedback to a minimum too. The Quasar Blue gloss finish is similar to a very saturated Lake Placid Blue, and the guitar shows sparingly little cosmetic wear. Aside from a few faint marks in the pick path and some stray scratches in the clear coat on the back of the guitar, it's as clean as can be.The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
