Mann 5 string electric mandolin for sale. Octave tuning with a baritone scale length. I bought this several years ago for a sort-of jamgrass band that I was playing mandolin for. While it was in the mail, one of the members passed away and the band called it quits. I kept it around in case I found myself in a band that I could use it in but it never happened. These have a base price of $2,200. I ordered it with a custom inlay and a pair of Joe Barden pickups so it ended up costing me a hair under $3,000. I live in an area famous for the Redwood trees and the inlay is a silhouette of a Redwood done in Abalone. One volume, one tone. The neck pickup is an S deluxe and the bridge pickup is a Two/Tone and can be tapped with the push/pull tone knob. If you're not familiar with the Two/Tone it is an actual tapped humbucker NOT split. When tapped, it's still hum cancelling since both coils are still activated rather than one coil being sent to ground. It's a great sounding pickup. I have them in another guitar of mine. There's one tiny blemish on the back that can be seen on the 7th photo. The hardware is a little oxidized but there's probably less than 5 hours total on the instrument and it's spent most of it's life in a case ( which is included )
The original 'Mann' truss rod cover will be included. I didn't like the way it looked so I made a cover out of fossilized ivory. I'll throw both in and you can decide which one you like better. This thing plays and sounds killer! I'm not interested in taking offers at this time Although I am looking for a Bad Cat Black Cat, Classic Deluxe or Cub. So if you happened to have either of those we could do a partial swap. Not interested in any of the "Player Series" or Cougar models.
Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions.
