Straight from our brass (and silver) instrument repair shop, our USED horns are brought back to life...All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered (if needed), patches repaired (if necessary) and the slides reworked to make them as smooth as possible. Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand-polished to a good shine and are in good playable condition. We are proud to offer this refurbished instrument for sale. We have tried to describe it as it is, and are happy to answer any questions asked. #5/2017Up for sale is a 1924 Revelation Professional Tenor Trombone made by Frank Holton, Elkhorn, Wis, serial #84xxx. The instrument is made of yellow brass, with a thin, lightweight bell; thickness-11 thousandths. There are various minor dings small dents and scratches throughout on this old classic instrument. The minor pitting at the grips is normal. The slide is a friction fit and the slide action is good/very good with some minor issues: the stockings show wear and the slide has wear spots and evidence of old repairs. This instrument is not lacquered; therefore, this instrument may have to be polished periodically (we recommend using Weiman METAL Polish). The slide bore is .512/.512, with a 7 1/2" bell flare. It comes with a mouthpiece and a used case.Found this description on the web: "These are very punchy horns, and are razor-like in how they project; with a very "in-your-face" Dixieland quality". This horn has a 'fat' sound. Thanks for looking and check out our other items! All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop710 N.
