This is a beautiful 1931 Martin Style A mandolin, serial number A-14988. This was one of Martin's most popular models, made between 1914 and1995. It is all original and is in very good condition for its age, no repairs needed. It has a bent spruce top and mahogany sides and back, rosewood body binding, ebony fingerboard and bridge, four-per-side tuners, engraved tailpiece and tortoiseshell pickguard. This mandolin has wonderful projection, and the sound is very rich and balanced. Comes with the original soft-shell case.
