Description
Brand: VEGA Exact Year: 1930

With my 87th birthday coming up this September I guess  it is about time to part with some of my treasured instruments. . During  the1960's
I played banjo in almost all the 1920's jazz clubs in  Los Angeles. .  After retiring I moved to Louisiana  and in recent years  played with the River City Dixielanders . When we changed the name to the Saints of  Dixieland  we added a trombone  and a drummer who thought he was playing in a Big Band Auditorium  and I could not hear myself  on my old Epiphone  Concret  Recorder  .PROBLEM SOLVED   when I purchased  this Vega Vox. . Of course, now the clarinet player has passed on, the trumpet player lost his lip, and the tuba  man moved to New Orleans.  The heel  of the neck ( which is not pictured )  because flash  obliterated the details was beautifly carved by  Nora Lang;  Fingerboard inlays   Bart Rieter   , FLANGE- FACTORY MADE,    Resonator engraving -  Brad  Roth  (banjoist extrordinaire) Flange engraving- Bob Fletcher, Fiinish -Ed Fehr and Gold plating  by  C-Brite. This banjo is similar to a recent Vega Vox  sold on EBAY ;iit is not tarnished  and if you like red rhinestones , buy some and glue them on with super glue The banjo and case are in pristine.  condition . At this point in my life I would like to get my money out of  it before  I croak and my wife sells it at a garage sale.. Although I hate to part  with this instrument , I hope the new owner enjoys playing it as much as I have...
