Description
Right-/ Left-Handed: Right-Handed Country/Region of Manufacture: Japan
Brand: Minezawa String Configuration: 6 String

This is a very rare opportunity to acquire this wonderful 1963 Taizo Minezawa classical guitar. Taizo Minezawa was better known as a violin maker. In 1957 he moved to Tokyo and began making guitars. He died in 1968, meaning he didn't make very many guitars in his life time, making this quite a rare example. This particular guitar features a high grade solid spruce top with 9 strut fan bracing, high grade solid Indian rosewood back and sides and an ebony fingerboard. The scale length is 648mm and the nut width is 48mm. This guitar produces clear ringing trebles, rich and resonating basses, all well balanced with excellent sustain and at high volume. It is very responsive and offers excellent note separation. It has a clear, bright tone.  It is in excellent structural condition, with no cracks or repairs. The cosmetic condition is also excellent for its age. There are a few very light scratches on the top and back and a couple of very minor dings. Action at the 12th fret is 3.5mm low E and 3mm high E, making playability excellent. Recently restrung with Hannabach silver special 815LT strings. The slim neck profile would suit someone with smaller hands, or someone who is used to playing electric or steel string guitars. Comes with hard case. Available for collection from Newcastle under Lyme in Staffordshire or I will post via Parcelforce.
